Giving a Future and a Hope

Jeremiah 29:11

Everyone needs a friend.  Become a friend  of
The Compassion Center and together we can give a future and a hope.

I am Debora Tarver, Founder & Director of The Compassion Center.

The Compassion Center began in 2004 after leaving as the director of another non profit in Atlanta, which helped individuals and families who were in need.  It was there I realized the need to reach out beyond just meeting physical needs, that people needed a future and a hope.  It was this discovery that inspired me to start The Compassion Center.

It began in our home with donations from friends, neighbors and businesses.  At first I saw a great need with the neo-natal intensive care, so a lot of donations (diapers, car seats, infant
formula and clothing) was sought to give the mothers and newborns a future and a hope.

Since then, The Compassion Center through the generosity of friends, partners, and in-
dividuals families from all over the world have benefitted from our services.  Although The Compassion Center have received many letters of recognition from heads of states and others, there is nothing more rewarding and heart warming, than knowing that a boy, girl, woman, man or family can see a brighter tomorrow because of what was given to them today.
